SARI BOWLS A 185! WOW!!

Capping a terrific sports week for Sari and Jim, Sari bowled a 185 in the regular SCPD Fun City Team Bowling day at Fantasy Springs -- her best score ever and about 80 pins above her average. Most impressive, she only had one open frame during game. There was a tremendous
level of excitement during the game by her team members and other players watching, but she handled the pressure well. Congratulations Sari!

As a postscript to the above, Sari bowled 158 on the day this pic was taken. She is really on a roll...Jim's bowled over!

JIM TAKES GOLF? TITLE

Who would believe. Jim finally won a golf tournament, kinda. Jim won the 4th flight of the Sun City Niners annual golf medal play for 2009. Although this was the highest handicap grouping, Jim won it handily and earned a big tournament payoff of $28.00. While Jim is hardly playing at the level of his two terrific grandkids Remec and Tyler, it is a start. He is working toward an invitation to the Bob Hope Classic in 20?? It would seem that he has a ways to go. Oh Well. This is Jim holding his beautiful glass bowl trophy...really neat.

MARC AND DENA VISIT

On a beautiful Saturday in January, Marc and Dena Kingston (Sari's Grandchildren) visited Sari and Jim in Sun City. We talked, had some nice pooltime and a good time was had by all.

SARI AND JIM AT THE BOB HOPE GOLF CLASSIC

It was a perfect day for golf, so Sari and Jim joined the crowd at the 50th anniversary of the Bob Hope Celebrity Golf Tournament at the Silverock course in La Quinta. It was a lot of fun -- walking, enjoying the golf and being together. We look forward to going next year!

Ric and Lu visit Sari and Jim

On January 17, Sari's son Ric and his girlfriend Lu visited Sari and Jim in Sun City. After some personal and swimming pool time together, we had lunch at Boulevards. It was a most enjoyable afternoon.

SARI AND JIM ATTEND NEW YEAR'S PARTIES IN LA QUINTA AND PALM SPRING'S

On New Years Eve, Sari and Jim attended a party at the beautiful home of Seymour and Sonja Rothman in the La Quinta community of Mountain View. About 60 friends welcomed in the New Year. Then on New Years day, Gail and Bud Capers held a small party at their condo in Palm Springs. We had a lot of fun with our friends -- and look forward to all of these associations in the new year.

SARI AND JIMS CHRISTMAS GALA

On December 29, 2008, Sari and Jim held a Christmas party at Sari's house for 30 our friends and neighbors. Sari had beautifully decorated the house for the party and the food was catered by Papa Dan's. Everyone had a terrific time, which was highlighted by Bud Capers singing 4 songs from his CD.

SARI AND JIM VISIT SARI'S FAMILY

In December, Sari and Jim visited Sari's grandkids and great grandkids in Thousand Oaks. It was wonderful meeting with these terrific kids and sharing an afternoon with them.
